I haven’t done a Digital Cut in a long time.
Today I’m trying to do one but can’t.

I’ve tried several ways, but no luck.
I’m using a firewire from my computer to my sony digital camera.
I have Generic > Basic Device as my deck (this is what has always worked in the past), I’ve tried doing it remote, and local.
But nothing. I can’t put it on tape.

The main problem is I am not seeing the picture in my timeline/composer window on my camera viewfinder. If I could see my timeline on the camera viewfinder, I’ll be on the right track.
    What am I missing?

    thanks to all.

Are you saying it has worked to the camera as a digital cut? Seeing as the camera does not have deck control and characteristics… Can’t you just do an output directly from the timeline and a crash record on the camera?

you’ll need to stripe the tae first.
Alternativly, yu can jut crash record it and play your time line
…assuming tc doesn’t have to start at 1:00:00

well, not all cameras accept DV in… Perhaps there lies the problem.
Over here they are all ‘helped’, as enabling the port will make them a ‘deck’, thus more taxes on import (widgets to give them their balls back are very populair over here)
