  Strange behavior from Avid Media Composer

  Suddenly this morning, my Avid Media Composer (adrinaline) won’t let me open new projects, won’t let me create new profiles and won’t let me import or export files.

  The only thing I could find in the knowledgebase at avid was the “don’t use QT 7.5.1” warning… But I’ve been using that version of quicktime for over a month now, with no problems.

  Sometimes Avids play nice with a new version of QT, then for no reason, get tired of playing nice. Try reverting to the qualified version of QT.

  Something else to try is trashing you MCState file.
