Post your Cool Effects Tricks Here!!
I am starting this thread so that we can all share cool effects that we do with our videos. Be as detailed as possible.
I will start.
You see this effect on t.v. all the time. I will call it the GLOW BLUR or LEVELS Effect Transition.
1. go to a cut point b/ two clips.
2. step back 10 frames before the cut and add an ADD EDIT point on the empty layer above the two clips.
3. step forward 10 frames after the cut and add an ADD EDIT point on the empty layer above the two clips.
4. go the the effects pallete and drag the BCC Levels effect (or BCC GLOW) onto this empty space you just made, or just ALT + Double Click the effect.
5. enter keyframing mode and add a keyframe at the point where the 2 clips meet. Adjust the Gamma Level to 0 at this point and leave the first and last keyframe levels at 255.VIOLA. you now have the infamous Blow out, camera flash like transition that is seen on t.v. all the time.
The same type of trick can be used with the DIRECTIONAL BLUR effect. just make the effect 180 degrees on the direction and make the center keyframe blur at 80. Keep the first and last keyframes at 0. You see this type of transition on the show, THE NANNY, all of the time!
Post your cool tricks too!
