  avid xpress pro 4.0 quicktime 7.1.3 patch

  I need some assistance…

  I finally figured out my problem withavid xpress pro 4.0, Im running quicktime 7.1.3 on 10.3.9, and I need to be running quick time 6.5.2. I have tried to trash my 7.1.3 version of quicktime, but it is so deeply integrated into the ox, it will take either upgrading both my avid and my ox to 10.4, or rebuilding 10.3.9 and not updating quicktime. I dont want to do either. FCP runs to well on what I have now, I dont want to screw up things.

  Is there a patch or some type of codex reader (??) that I can get to add to my avid program to be able to use my current version of QT?

  basically the problem is that the media is playing shakey, and as soon I try to scrub and play backwards, it crashes.
