  AVID version compatability… HELP

  guys.. help
  Im trying to find out some info before Monday

  I have a client who wants to start swaping drives with omf files, basically digitized media for me to cut.
  They have a real system, I just downloaded FREE avid.

  yes, I am an avid editor, I just want to cut these projects on the road…. with out paying a bundle for dvexpress.

  Can I open the media they capture (on a real system) in Free? (import the clips they didge) and then after I cut, can they open my project on a real system? Or, can I in FREE export the timeline? I know that there is no consolodation in free… it there a loop whole?

  and… If I do get express, does that version have consolodate? And would composer even read that?

  Sorry, from what I’ve read there’s no back or forth with Avid Free.
