    Hey!

I am a FCP editor myself, BUT:

Avid is the leader in the field, so I have decided to start learning avid.

The avid website has said ( for a LOOOONG time ) that they are releasing INTEL – products “soon”

… but they have been saying that for quite a while now……. and i am getting very impatient.

Does anyone know for sure – when they will be releasing for Mac Intel?
( I was thinking express pro or media composer )

Also: Is Xpress Pro or media composer what I should start to learn? ( I edit Music videos – some broadcast and indie films )

If you’re doing your own projects, Xpress Pro is very powerful and can function very well for most all projects. It’s what I use for all the projects I take on myself. Media Composer has more powerful features available, especially where effects are concerned. After Effects, Motion, and Photoshop will see more use with Xpress vs. MC. If freelancing for other companies it will be a benefit to know how to use the added features.
