  Avid Express DV and Vista

  Hi

  I have just upgraded my pc to a dual core, my video card to a nvidia geforce 8800 GTS and operating system to vista and having a couple of problems with Avid.

  Just after launching, it claims i have no audio devices. I am using the audio chips on my motherboard.

  When avid opens, afart from no sound, i cannot get motion video. The pics are there when i scroll through the timeline but when i play, there is only a still image.

  if anyone could help it’d be great.

  Go back to XP. I’ve heard it will be a while before Avid gets ported to Vista – something about Vista being 64bit and Avid being 32bit….
