  Turnkey Suggestions

  Hey all. I’m looking for suggestions for Turnkey systems. I’m on an old copy of Avid Xpress 3.5 at home, but I just picked up a few clients that will necessitate moving up to Avid Studio HD. All Promo work, not much of :30 second spots.

  I’ve found one that really sticks out, it’s from B&H and it’s about 10K. I’d rather not spend much more than that. It’s attrative since it comes with 4.5 gigs of RAM and 1.25 TB of media drives.

  I’m looking for a full turnkey option to avoid a lot of trouble shooting. Anyone out there have any suggestions/reccomendations? Any help is greatly appreciated.

  Are you near New York? I’d find a local reseller and buy from them – that way, you have a better chance of someone coming to your system, instead of sending your system to someone… Of course, either way you’ll probably won’t have many problems…
