  • Enable Confidence View on older MC?

Good evening all. Well, we just finished moving our old MC from one building to another, along with furniture, tapes and the assorted gack that goes along with the system. It’s good to know that I can rebuild an Avid from scratch! Everything is working, but there’s one problem I’ve run into. When digitizing, video no longer appears in the Composer window (although it shows up in the client monitor.)

I know there is a setting on our MCA under “Video Displays” to “Enable Confidence View.” However, I can’t find that command in our older MC software (version 11.0.2 – an oldie…but still works.)

Any ideas of where to find it? Or is there a command I can use in the console to enable it?

    Thanks for your help…Bill

It’s been a while, but my feeble memory suggests digitize settings.
And I don’t believe it was called confidence view, something like display client monitor…

Dave…sorry, but it didn’t work for me. I had seen that setting before and from my testing, it appears that command allows your video to be seen on the client monitor whether or not you have your Video track selected in the digitize window.

What I’m looking for is the toggle to display incoming video in the Composer window.

Thanks again for your help and if you have any other suggestions (or any outstanding cookie recipes!), please pass them on.

    Cheers…Bill
