DVD encoding from AVID Express Pro HD w/ MOJO
I have been having problems getting my projects from the timeline to a DVD in a timly manner and at a high quality. I have tried exporting from avid through Sorenson Squeeze and through Discreet Cleaner XL, but have had about every problem in the book. I finally started burning DVDs from the MOJO directly to a DVD recorder deck(JVC SR-DVM70) via firewire. The JVC deck lives in another room which means I have to pull it every time I’m ready to make a master DVD. My question is what is the best way to get my projects from the timeline to a DVD-R master? Should I encode in my box or get another external deck or a internal realtime DVD encoder? Which encoder(ie. Canopus, Sonic, Optibase, etc.)works best with the Avid system? I have ReelDVD by Sonic for authoring but havn’t had the time to learn it. I’m about to do some DVD authoring on my next several projects. Should I look into the AVID DVD which seems like it would have an easier learning curve than the ReelDVD program we have had now for several years. I’m open for any ideas to deal with this problem.
Thanks,
Bob
