  Exporting from Avid

  Trying to export from avid through sorenson. it stops at 67 percent and says that the file “” can’t be found. All the files are in place.

  I have also tried exporting a Quictime reference file tried exporting through quicktime pro but the quality is terrible.

  I have not been able to export from Avid in any form sucessfully.

  So you’re trying to export from Avid to squeeze it in Sorenson, and it stops at 67% coming out of the Avid? Or during the squeeze in Sorenson? It isn’t abundantly clear. Also, what version of Avid are you running?

  Have you tried the quicktime reference in sorenson? Make sure everything in your Avid timeline is rendered, export a quicktime reference, open Sorenson and import the QT reference file (the .mov only) and squeeze it. If it’s stopping at 67% in Sorenson it’s most likely a Sorenson issue and you’ll probably get more precise answers in the Compression Techniques forum.
