Avid Older Media Composer System
I recently purchased an older Media Composer system from a friend (he originally purchased it new in the late 90`s). I want to get it up-and-running but have a few questions:
-Can I only run this on a G4?Beyond that, will it only run on certain G4`s?
-Can I use Firewire storage or will I need to purchase AVID drives for storage?
-Does anyone know someone in the NYC area that might be able to set the system up for me (tell me what I need to purchase, etc.) for a nominal fee?
My apologies for not providing software version info, etc. I`m not at home right now and can`t recall off the top of my head. Any help/tips/referrals would be greatly appreciated.

You really need to post the system info. Is it a Meridian? Avid XPress or Media Composer? PC or Mac?
It’s kind of like me asking the COW what color is my car…
