  Can’t Capture (or recognize) via Firewire

  Help!
  Have had to rebuild my Avid (Xpress Pro 5.2) due to a HD crash and now I can’t get my machine to recognize my deck (Panasonic AG-DV1000).

  Firewire card gets a signal, and I’ve changed the cords, removed and uninstalled the drivers, reinstalled and still no luck.

  Any suggestions? I’ve read about rolling back drivers to SP1, but am loath to do that. Anything else I can check??

  Did you check machine templates in your settings?
