  Going from 30f SD project to 24f HD project on same system,

  We have gotten the new Nitris Symphonys and are having a frustrating time with uprezing to HD. We have many spots we cut in 30f SD that need to be onlined in HD 24f. So far the only method is making and edl, converting it to a 24f edla dn importing into the new 24f projec. All this on the same edit system. It seems to archaic and might as well have come from an old CMX edit system as all the effects etc are gone and there are always problems. Anyone have any better ideas? Will be very appreciated.

  Welcome to my personal hell
  I’m currently conforming a 15 episode 1080p 23.98 series
  that was offlined on older Avids at SD 29.97
  We had to make 30fps CMX lists, convert to 24 using Final CUT and Cinema Tools,
  then export omfs out of final cut using automatic duck
  All effects have to be rebuilt maunually and this series has a LOT of effects!!!
  And each episode has 5 different versions for different broadcasters
  Thanks a lot AVID, maybe instead of all these innovative new releases at NAB,
  you could make a program that converts framerates without all this extra work and effort.
