I’m working on a project that was shot on 24p XDCAM and we have some footage that is being used in a newscast in the show that we want to make look like regular video. I’ve already played with the colors to wash it out a bit and make it look flatter, but the film-like 24p motion is still throwing me off. Does anyone know a good way to make it look more like regular 30fps video? Even if it’s a plug-in, we’re willing to get it and we have access to After Effects as well if need be .

    Thanks!

too late, we’ve spent years trying to make vid look like a progressive format, you need to create fields which aren’t there, you can col correct and plug in to hell and back, but you won’t correct the progressive motion feel.

From a production pov can you shoot it off a monitor?…

Are you cutting in a 24p project? If in a 30i, you can use fluidmotion to creation interlace from progressive formats.
