  can’t format new drive…ish

  Help!
  Trying to format lvd drive on win2k, disk managment recognises drive and shows as unallocated, windows offers to write digital signature but process fails and so I can’t assign drive letter nor attemp a format etc. Drive was part of a striped pair in previous life…

  Did you create a partition before you tried to format the drive?
