Just arrived today. I’ve downgraded my NVIDIA Drivers to the ones recommended by Avid, I have disabled my internet security and tried several times but at the end of the installation I get the message: During install Registration Key\classes\.mxf could not be set.

I have the dongle installed. My computer saw me put it in and automatically installed it. I am afraid that it might have screwed things up, but when I remove it and try to start Avid, it tells me to put in the dongle.

As Avid loads once I replace the dongle, I get three similar error messages and then it crashes:

“An access violation exception occured. For more information, see the error log. Exception 200603 01.43.44” Then it gives me the location of the log. It has the same message with two slightly different error codes, then freezes. When I look at the log, it’s not telling me much more than I already know.

I’ve got to give up. I’ve been trying since 8:00 and now it’s going on 3:00AM.

My box of stuff didn’t have any sort of installation notes. I’m really surprised about that. The manual is more like a how to use Avid guide.

    ANy suggestions are appreciated!

    Thank you

Try going to Avid.com then click on “Support” and you can send them an email. Or if you are a licensed user then you can call and ask a question on the 800 number. waiting on hold is far less frustrating than staying up all night flying blind. They should be able to help you if it’s an install question.
