Corrupt Project.. Please Help
I am working on Express Pro. One of my sequences has become corrupt. To Resolve this problem I attempted to rebuild the project with the attic. The attic didn’t contain any bin files (there were some other files but no bins). I then proceeded to create a new project and attemp to copy the bins from one project to another(through the windows level). The bins cut and pasted instead of copy and paste.
The problem I am having is once I open the new project, the bins appear in the project window but I am unable to open then. I get an Exception error: DISK_ACCESS_DENIED. Since the bins actually cut amd pasted instead of copied to the new project, my old project no longer contains any bins. I have attempted to place the bins back in the old project, but I have been getting access errors on the windows level as well. I can not open these bins in any project now. The bins contain sequences that my client needs on tape by Thursday.
I am in a panic mode right now and might be overlooking something simple. If someone has any information they believe would help, I would forever be in debt.

Well, your attic should contain bins. Under each project name in the attic, you’ll see a bin folder, then another folder with the bin name, then files ending in extensions that are numbers. Find the bin folder name you are looking for, and copy the most recent of these last files to another location, rename the extension to be “avb”.
In your project, close the corrupted bin you are trying to restore. If you try to open a bin from the attic with the original still open, it will give you an error that a copy is already open. Once it’s closed, choose File/Open Bin, and browse to the copy you created from the attic. As suggested, the attic files don’t immiediately appear to be bin files, but they will open as bins if you move them to aother location, though you don’t actually have to change the extension, just select the show all files option and open them from within a project.
