I recently bought a new Avid Xpress Pro HD System. Dell 670 Precision computer with Windows XP media. My question is this. After installing my xpress software I checked and the program was working. After that I continued to install the other software (boris, plasma wipe plug, ect.) After I was finished Avid wasn’t working properly, it would start to load up and then dump out. So I decided to remove everything and reinstall. I was able to uninstall everything except for DNADIAGS. When I go through add/remove programs and try to unistall it, an error message pops saying there was a problem with the window installer program, error 1722. I tried putting the disk in and removing it that way, once again I get the same error message. Does anyone have suggestions on how I can remove this piece of software? I just got the computer so don’t have any other information saved on the computer. I even tried reinstalling window twice. Can anybody help. Thank you.

If you reinstalled Windows using a clean installation, all hooks into the operating system are gone, and you can delete any traces of the old software that are still hanging around on your hard drive.

Does your system meet Avid specs for XpressProHD? For one, you need Windows XP Professional for all Avid PC software. If you are trying to run on a less than fully certified system, maybe the software will work and maybe it won’t.
