    I need to convert 4:3 to 16:9.

What I do now is apply Resize and scale wid to 84. But it is difficult to know how accurate I am.

Any other suggestions? Does somebody know what correct Wid scale is?

The latest version of Xpress Pro has the full pan & scan feature in it. Drop it on the clip, select source 4:3 and target 16:9 anamorphic and tilt & scan to your heart’s content. The quickest way to convert a show from one format to another.

If you drop it on the top track you can automatically subdivide the whole effect based on V1/2/3 etc. edits to eliminate the keyframing from shot to shot.

Use the resize tool, y axis needs to be set to 133. This is the way I’ve been instructed several times by QC departments for BBC and ITV in the UK.

    Good Luck
