  image not importing with alpha

  We are trying to import a lower thirds title with alpha from photoshop into our AVID XPRESS. We’ve tried both psd and tiff and it doesn’t seem to work. We check the alpha box off when we’re saving too. Any advice? Thanks in advance.

  Those formats should work fine, just remember to invert the alpha on the way into the Avid. Alternatively, you can try exporting a 24 bit PNG file which works well with Avid also. Give a little more info about what you see when you import. Is it just a black background? Is your alpha channel valid in PS?
