    hello everybody
I was wondering what is the best way to move a time line from Avid on PC to FCP on Mac (I have the Automatic duck ) but my question is what is the best setting to use, OMF2 consolidate and link to media ? video and audio ? do audio as OMF and Video as QT ? QT Ref?
i tried export OMF2 with audio and video consolidated and linked to media on an external drive then took that drive to the FCP but there was no video
QT take long time to do (my time line is 30 min, and i have to make 15 of them)

thanks in advance for any advice

You should post this on the Automatic Duck forum.
Wes (AD’s creator) is really great about answering all Duck related questions.

I thought you said you had Automatic Duck and needed to know what settings to use? In that case, you need to post on the Duck forum and let Wes help you.

FCP does not import OMFs. And as far as I know, you use Automatic Duck to convert the timeline information ONLY. You’ll need to recapture the video and audio in FCP, as the formats are completely different, and any conversion will cause a loss of quality.

Go to Automatic Duck and review the product info.
    https://automaticduck.com/products/pifcp/

    For the product info:
“With Import Media References turned on, Pro Import FCP is able to create reference files to the Avid OMF media and import them into FCP, allowing you to view your Avid media in Final Cut Pro 4.1 or later.”

So it seems like this would do what you need.

    Sincerely,
    Oliver
