• Avid Media Composer

  Avid & Medea Drives..

  Hello Everyone.

  I am new to this post, and was wondering if anyone has experience using Medea VideoRaid Drives (specifically the RT3X 2.5TB model) on an Avid Media Composer Meridien system….any pros & cons, praise or problems would be most helpful as I am contemplating whether or not to get these drives instead of the Avid MediaDrives.

  I had a Symphony system that liked to hickup and lose all acess to media from time to time. With Medea Drives it was just that… gone. Do over. Stay 36 hours straight to meet the deadline kinda thang.
  With Avid drives, I was always able to delete the database files and get the media back.
  Much more stable… avid drives. I was on a dawg but in my personal experience, medea drives blew.
