  Setting up two AVID editing suites with common storage?

  I am working on a project where I need to come up with a budget to purchase two AVID editing suites using one common storage. The idea is to have two editors working simultaneously accessing the common media captured on the common storage. We will be editing in DVCAM and then bring our EDL to a professional facility to do an online, color correction etc. on a AVID Nitris or symphony.

  Do anyone have any ideas of what to purchase?

  Avid’s Unity drives. Pricey, but excellent.

  We have been running LANshare EX for over two years. Two bays wit heavy use plus other ethernet clients (both Mac and PC) and have not been down for even 1 day.
