Using adrenaline at work. Just found out tech support contract expired. Until the boss antes up, I’m turning to the cow. I made a graphic in Photoshop and import to bin and then drop onto timeline. Now file is a 3d Matte Key. I adjust keyframes and tweak motion just how I want it. But then I decide graphic needs to be diffferent color. Chnage color in photoshop, reimport and re drop to timeline. QUESTION IS: How do I get settings from first graphic to the second revised version? I can’t just open up the effect editor. thanks in adavnce. Hope someone can help.

You should try a batch reimport gaphics instead of a new import. Highlight the original import and do batch reimport. Navigate to the new version. Import. It will replace the existing graphic in all seqeunces automatically.

try this, with your org. gfx in your timeline, from the effect editor click on the effect icon(upper right), click and drag this to your bin. Now when you place your new gfx in the timeline, click and drag the effect icon that you placed in your bin to your new gfx. whatever you did to gfx the first time will transfer to the new gfx.

You may need to be holding alt to get it to drag to the bin without the old source graphic attached (i.e. just the motion/scaling parameters, not the old graphic).

This is the only post I have found related to my dilemma.

I have been successful in doing this with Media Composer for years. Now with the MC Adrenaline HD 2.1.7 upgrade, it will not “refresh” my batch imported files into my sequence. We needed to re-set all of our user settings, per recommendation by avid, and I wonder if we missed anything.

    Any insight is appreciated.

    Thanks
