  • HD batch import on AdrenalineHD destroying clip timing

    Hi All,

We have an SD project from a symphony system that we are trying to bring into an Adrenaline HD ver. 2.1.7 to replace the SD footage by importing HD footage for finishing.

The source project is a NTSC 23.976p project.

The HD clips that we’re trying to import shows in the folder as a Quicktime 98PSF file. When opened in Quicktime, the format shows as 1920×1080 uncompressed 10-bit, 48k stereo 24bit audio.

Every time we import the HD clip there is a timing problem.

A direct import, not associated with the sequence brings in the picture correctly, but the audio is about 10 frames off. This occurs whether we bring it into the SD project or a newly created HD 1080p/23.976 project.

When we’ve tried a batch import to bring in the HD footage for the SD sequence, but the picture is accerated to about 20 times normal speed.

    We’ve also tried the following:

opening the SD symphony project, changing the format of the sequence to 1080 and then batch importing.

opening an HD project, copying in the sequence, reformating the sequence, then batch importing.

decomposing, transcoding the sequence, relinking and anything else we can think of.

No matter what we do the sequence comes in sped up when it’s associated with the sequence.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks in advance.

    -Ron

Is the Quicktime 24fps instead of 23.976? That might explain the 10 frames difference – do the math and see if this is .1% of the original duration.

Try bringing in a video only QuickTime and see what happens.
