  Grouping with locators question

  I’m trying to figure out the best workflow for syncing DAT to a grouped clip.

  We’re running Avid Xpresspro HD on PC and we have a ton of clips that need this done.

  So we have already grouped A and B cameras together but now we have the problem of bad audio so we need to regroup it with the DAT we loaded

  I’m finding out that I can’t add to a clip already grouped, nor can I ungroup a group, add DAT and regroup.

  So our plan is to go back to the original video and group everything again with the DAT. The problem with that is the editor has gone through clips and added locators throughout and when we group them the locators disappear.

  I’ve tried to copy and paste the locators in the locator window and only a partial amount copy over. Those that do are out of sync. I can export and import the locators but it seems to only work on sequences not clips in bins

  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  Never mind.

  We just got thru to Avid and they had no answers other than start over with the locators.
