  Avid 4.6 Compatibility with Mac OSX Tiger

  Hi guys, I know Avid has just release Avid 4.8 for Tiger. My friend is going to sell me his Avid Xpress Pro 4.6 for Mac OSX 10.3+. However the upgrade $ from Avid Xpress Pro 4.6 to 4.8 is a bit steep. So I will have to hold off the upgrading for longer time than I want to. My G5 runs Tiger. Ideally 4.8 is the best candidate. But can I run 4.6 under Tiger as well? I have FCP but as on a lot of projects, especially the plotted driven project, I find Avid is a better NLE application.

  What do you mean steep? Its a free upgrade. Do you have a valid dongle and ID? This is all you need to download the update. 4.6 probably won’t run under Tiger. A few folks had some success but most didn’t.
