I was hoping to find some information on a problem I’ve been having with my Avid Xpress Pro v4.5.1 with Mojo. I’m running off a fairly new (dell) pc and experience an audio pop sporadically during playback. I’m not sure if it’s an underrun issue or something else. I’m kind of new at this and I have no idea what could be cause it, or more importantly, how to fix it. If anyone can help me, I’d really appreciate it.
    Thanks,
    Jackie

    Hi,

Take a look at the user forums for XPro at http://www.avid.com. I know this has been discussed a few times there, and you’ll probably find a lot of good information on how to get it resolved.

    good luck,
    Carl

This audio glitch is very common with DV. I don’t know if it is AVID or not but I have this problem all of the time. Here is what I have learned. First of all, the audio is probably only on one channel on the tape (i.e. only one mic). If this is the case, simply put the audio in the avid in stereo and turn off or delete the channel that is not being used. If this isn’t the case or it does not work, Adobe Audition 1.5 has special filters that are sepcifically designed to fix this problem.
