I have an Avid Xpress Meridian that I’m going to be mothballing due to a switch to Final Cut. I’d like to sell the 2 Medea 240/RTs that I’ve been using with the system and get something a little cheaper that I could use on the rare occasion I need to have access to an archived project. I’ve pretty much edited everything at 2:1 and have always saved my projects with media clips intact.

What is the minimum (IE least expensive) drive that I could get to still play back the occasional video without getting underruns? I always liked the overkill these drives provided to my system, but I just don’t need them in my new set-up and I think they’d sell well.

Any thoughts? By the way, I’m on a G4/933, Xpress 5.8, OS 10.2.6.

    Thanks!
