  Matted p in p’s

  I want to do multiple p in p’s with each picture animatted by an off-square mask. I can do the p in p’s over black (any backgrond errors are hidden) by nesting each inside, but how do I get an un affected background. Which ever way I try the background ends up being p in p’ed, as well as being over itself.
