Hello, I have a problem capturing non-drop frame media with avid express pro. When I try, Avid says that “there is a non-drop frame tape in the deck and it is expected to have a drop frame tape. Please insert the apropriated drop frame tape in the deck”. There is apparently no way to bypass this warning. My question is: How do I change the capture settings in Avid that would enable me to capture in non-drop frame without having this warning? Thanks to anyone that would help me

re name the tape. Its as simple as going from, Tape 1 to TAPE 01. Avid remembers the TC for a tape by its name.

First of all, change your settings for deck to “if no tape, log as non drop” if you are working with nothing but non drop tapes – it will make your life easier.

Also, a trick I do is to not give it a tape name as soon as I insert the tape. Hit Cancel then play into the material. Once there, give it a tape name.
