    Hi everyone,
I’m new here, and I love this site…I’m a student @ columbia college in chicago, and I got a slight avid problem. I want to be able to capture and print to tape using a PD-170 camera. I plug the camera iinto my firewire port, and it is recognized by windows and I can see it in Vegas (another program), but not in Avid Xpress Pro HD 5.0.4 (I think). I think it just isn’t supported. Any ideas? Thanks for your help!

Definitely supported and works very well. Check your deck settings in Avid. You may have to select PD-150, if the 170 isn’t listed. Are you using Mojo or no Mojo?

No mojo, it is directly connected via a firewire cable…like I said windows recognizes it and it works great (except some print to tape problems) in Vegas…any ideas…tried check decks, tried reebooting with it plugged in, tried a whole bunch of things, no luck…thanks for the help so far…

ps-what is the purpose of mojo?
