  24p to tape

  Hi,
  I am trying to bring a 2 minute sequence I created in 23.976p back to my minidv camera. I’ve done this a bunch of times in a 30frame project. However, now I am not getting a signal. I am working in axid xpress pro 4.5 without a MOJO. Is this possible to do.

  YOu need a Mojo with v.4.6 and earlier from a 24p project to go back to tape. WIth v.5 yo don’t.

  You can:

  Export to After Effects and render in a 2:3 pulldown and bring back into a 30i project.

  Create 24p DVD with puldown flags in the MPEG2 stream.

  thanks,
  so i can export my sequence as a QT ref. and bring that into after effects. Can I export the file out of after effects as qt .mov file and import the .mov into avid?

  Yes, the resulting file can come into a 30i project for playout.
