    Hi all,

Didn’t see anything on this in the archives, hope I didn’t miss it.

I’m working with XPress Pro 4.6 and Mojo on XP. The project I’m working on has 14:1 resolution media.

When I try to create a motion effect, I get the error “Exception: a motion effect cannot be placed on AVR media.”

As best I can deduce from the search engine, this functionality got pulled in 4.5. Is there any workaround in 4.6, either internally in Avid or by using 3rd party plug-ins, short of down-resing the media?

    Thanks,
    Doug

You need to be working in DV25 or 1:1. I believe that Xpress Pro can’t do motion effects on 1-field media.

V.4.6.5 of Xpress Pro fixes this problem. It was released two days ago. Please contact customer support for the update.

Thanks for the heads up. Obviously need to research to make sure that no other issues are raised by upgrading, but that’s good news to know it’s fixed.
