  How much RAM?

  I am running Avid MC 2.5.3 with 2gigs of RAM on Win XP Pro. I know Avid recommends 4gigs of RAM, but if I upgrade to 5 or 6gigs will that be a waste? I do a lot of HDV editing and I also work with after effects, photoshop, and sometimes Boris?
