  Exportng to AE – Vertical Lines

  Hello all. I exported a DV project from Xpress DV as a Quicktime(DV/NTSC, interlaced, 16:9) bound for AE. I scrutinized the clip and found that it had small vertical lines throughout. These were barely distinguishable until I exported from After Effects as a Quicktime DV project and the lines were glaring.

  Can anyone help me figure out where these vertical lines came from? Are they a consequence of capturing in Xpress DV?

  What resolution did you capture the clips in?

  My gut is it’s not the XPress per se. It could be a flaw in the original clip, and by the time it gets to AE, it’s glaring.
