    Hi guys,

I made the switch from premiere pro to avid xpress pro a few months back now and have fallen in love with the programme. There is just one problem that keeps reoccuring for me and that is exporting video. When i work on projects that i log/edit i have no problem because i can do everything as reference files ect. however i am now working on a project in which i need to export footage to burn on to disc and send to a college who is useing premiere pro. i am used to being able to go into a folder where all the AVI files have been stored by premiere and then all i have to do is choose the ones i want and burn them to disc. however becuse avid stores video as OMF files i can no longer do this. preferably i would like to export all my footage from avid as AVI files in the same format as they would be if i had logged them on premiere (microsoft DV?) but if not could someone let me know a quicktime, avi or dv format i can export as that i can burn to disc that will be easily compatible with premiere. please be as detailed as possible with descriptions as i have tried a lot of different settings and can’t get it right! thanks in advance, this forum has been a great help to me.

p.s i have recently started exporting as “dv-steam” this seems to come out fine and be compatible on other machines that aren’t running avid but whatever i export as the video doesn’t fit the screen properly, i always get a 3mm thick black line at the top of the screen. this does not appear on my timeline view and doesn’t appear when i export as reference files either?

pleeasseee help! i love avid but the export settings are driving me nuts!
