  problem digitizing using AVID 5.5.3

  I digitized a clip at 15:1s from a DVCAM deck (DSR-25) directly into my Dual 2.7 GHz PowerPC G5 running AVID Xpress Pro 5.5.3.

  This tape is TOD TC and at a specific point in the digitized clip there is a white flash.

  I have checked the tape itself in two different decks, jogged through the tape frame by frame and the white flash is nowhere to be found on the original. The tape is clean and free of any dust, dirt or particles.

  I redigitized the clip by batch digitizing and the white flash is back in the exact same spot. I even tried to digitize by free run and the white flash comes back.

  Anyone else encounter a problem like this? Or have any idea why this is happening?
