    Hi All:
I am working on an AvidAdrenaline. A client is going to bring a Quicktime Movie of a commercial he edited in Final Cut on A firewire drive. What are the pitfalls to look for. And what is the proecess to bring it in.
    Thanks
    Roy

File…Import. Navigate to the firewire drive, select the quicktime movie, press OK. You shouldn’t have any problems, but will have a short wait while the Avid converts the file from Quicktime to OMF. Or, have your FCP guy render it out using an Avid codec (search avid.com for the different codecs and email them to your guy). This will guarantee the import will work and the file will import much much faster.

    Mike.
