  Sequence/Timline @ 470×270

  MAC AVID XPRESSPRO

  Hi

  I have some PAL footage I need to import that’s 470×270 (16×9 widescreen – but not full size)

  I need to produce a cut that retains these dimensions and export it again.

  I also have other elements like stills that I need to zoom into and pan around.

  I can import the footage fine and maintain the size, but when I drop it into a sequence, it’s got black borders all around it because the sequence is 720×576, not 470×270.

  Also, when I use stills and zoom into them, they fill the whole screen, leaving a sequnce with mismatched sizes.

  Eventually, when I export the sequence – I need it to be 470×270 without black borders around it, so, the easy solution to me seams to be to Resize my sequence to match the footage, then everything else will fall in place. But I can’t work out how to do this.

  Any help much appreciated.

  Do you have a compositing program like After Effects? It would be much, much easier in that type of program. Avid is generally more for basic editing of footage unless you have a very high end model.
