    Hi All,

I created a number of sequences on my laptop from avid dv using media that was captured onto my external drive. I exported each sequence as quicktime movies (not quicktime references) and saved them directly onto my laptop. After disconnecting my external drive and creating a new avid project on my hard drive, I tried to import the quicktime movies, but have received a message stating the path was not correct. If the movie is on my laptop, how can this be? Final Cut Pro sees the movies no problem as can my deck, though I must render the quicktime movies before outputting.

Any ideas on why avid won’t see the quicktime movie.

Does it show up in the import explorer windwo? Have you tried dragging the file directly into a bin? A path not correct error sounds like you are trying to import from somewhere the Avid doen’t think exists, not an inability of the Avid to not see the file…
