    I hava a panasonic camcorder and can’t seem to be able to capture with it. when i invoke the capture tool select the tracks i want to use i get a message saying. “No input signal present”

    anyone able to help?

    Could you post some more specifics? How are you bringing in your footage, what model camera, even your system specs might help…

    My PC is a Del 3.4Gb with 1Gb of ram witha 250Gb HD. My Camcorder is a Panasonic NV-DS29, I am connection the cam with firewire. Windows XP pro.

    this setup works no problem with Adobe prem pro 1.5. It has me stuffed.

    According to this chart (https://www.avid.com/content/6844/DVDeviceQual_9_12_04.htm)
    it doesn’t appear your camera is supported by Avid. Has it ever worked in Avid? Go to your digitize tool(with the camera connected and powered on prior to starting the software), and click ‘check decks’. Check your deck preferences; make sure you have OHCI selected (double click on the channel), and try selecting the generic template…)
