  3D text from invigorator flashes when gradient map applied?

  I have a list of scrolling text that rolls up the page. My client asked to have a soft gradient added to the white text. I applied the map as a color map (a white to gray gradient JPEG)and the shading is set to absolute. The preview window looks fine, but when I render the file, the text flashes like the opacity is changing or shifting. There is a slight bevel (highlight edge) and the transparency is set to 15. The layer solid also has a drop shadow layer effect added to it, but even when removed, the flashing of the 3D text still occurs.

  I am using AE CS4 on a Windows 7 32-bit system. Invigorator 3D Plug-in 4.5.1

  Let me know if there are any setting I can check or adjust to better troubleshoot this problem. Any insight would be helpful.

  Hi Michael,

  Please check my e-mail response and see if it helps.

  For any other users running into a similar issue on After Effects CS4 and using 3D Invigorator PRO version 4.5.1, please try turning off Multiprocessing in After Effects or applying the image as a Layer Map. This will prevent the map from being lost in the rendering process.
