    Hey guys!
Just downloaded the demo for ProAnimator and I’m very excited to play w/ it. I’m initially interested in the ability to take logos, make them 3D, animate them, import in an editor and lay over video…which of course ProAnimator does. Anyway, I’m new to Illustrator and would love a quick and simple list of steps to take a PSD logo and save it in AI in the correct format to work w/ ProAnimator.
I’ve got logos that are PSD, transparent, RGB (or CMYK if need be), no gradients. Having problems so far w/ ProAnimator recognizing my converted AI files.
Couldn’t find any step-by-step info about this in previous posts on on Zaxwerks web page.

To add…..basically ProAnimator is telling me (about my AI file)… “There were no usable vector paths in this file. Make sure that you save Illustrator files with Compression OFF.”

I’m weighing in on this problem.

I tried that site as well and for what I need, it does not answer it. I do’nt want to just do a box around the logos, but would like the transparent sections to be just that, transparent. Any suggestions

Transparent sections of the layer map or the logo? If you can give some more detail I’m sure we can help.

where the name of the company is, you would have cutout in the P and O and A etc as well as cutout sections in the logo

For that you create compound paths in Illustrator. I have a section which explains that in my training: Making it Look Great 1. Serge also goes into detail in his DVD for Invigorator Pro available here at Creative Cow.

okay thanks for the assist. I will look into it. Somehow the first time I tried it when we were using the demo, I managed to pull it off. Now after we bought it, I can’t remember how I did. This should help me get back to that point.
