  3D Grid and Layer Warp scene data error

  As soon as 3D Grid Warp or Layer Warp are applied I get the following error:

  “Warning: Recovering from scene data error for command
  << AlertUsersOfOffScreenWindows>> for class <> at byte 908″

  After dismissing the warrning dialog the effect seems to function until I attempt a RAM preview when After Effects hangs and must be force quit.

  This is After Effects 8.0.1.8 on OS 10.4.11 on a Mac Pro.

  Hi Brian,

  Let’s simplify things to see where we stand.

  – Please make a DV sized comp
  – Make a comp sized solid.
  – Apply the Grid Warp effect to the solid.

  Does it work?

  If it does then what’s the difference between this project and the one you’re having trouble with.
