    Hi,

I made copy of the Stanley Cup in Invigorator. The cup looks great, but when I render the final piece, I get a block version, and not the round smooth version. I have all the settings right, and still do not know what to do here.

Any ideas would be great. Also, a special thanks to Serge for his Custom Edge training, making this Stanley cup possible.

    Bob,

Look at the smoothness setting for the best quality render. My hunch is that you’ve moved that by mistake. For the smoothest cup, use a very small number. You can manually enter .01. Render time will be longer, but the round edges will be great.

I have done that part. The problem is when the model is in After Effects it comes in square and not round. No matter what I change there seems to be no luck in fixing it.

Send me the file. I’ll take a look.

For those following the thread, changing the hard shading angle setting in the stats box from 0 to 15 solved the problem.
