ProAnimator 4.1.1 and Motion 2.1.2
I just purchased the software today in hopes of using it in Motion. Working with Motion inside of FCP is such a dream as compared to exporting to AE and back.
Well, I installed everything as per your instructions that were included with the software, registered the software with the permanent key code and played with the stand alone version. After making several little test projects, I was ready to use ProAnimator in Motion. Well… that’s where it went south. I opened Motion, created an object and dropped the ProAnimator plugin on the object. CRASH! Motion closes. The Apple debugging window pops up asking me to notify Apple of what I was doing when Motion crashed, so I told them the same as I am telling you now.
Maybe, this was a freak incident… Nope! I can reproduce it every single time. ProAnimator plugin never comes up at all, just a CRASH.
HELP! This is very dissapointing to me for the cost of the software. I can email you a System Profiler text file describing my system entirely. Let me also say that I don’t have an issues with all of my other software packages, just ProAnimator.

UPDATE!
I also cannot use the plugin in AfterEffects 7.01. It does the same as Motion, just crashes and close AfterEffects.
I’m getting really frustrated that I spent $700 on a program that doesn’t really work right out of the box.

Can you follow the steps below and tell me when ProAnimator crashes?
1. Open AE.
2. Create a new project.
3. Add a new Solid to your project.
4. Apply the ProAnimator plug-in to the Solid.
5. Click the “Create 3D Primitive” button.
6. Open the ECW panel.
7. Click on the “Click to Edit” button.I would assume that by this point, something has gone wrong.
One other question: Where did you place the ProAnimator plug-in?

Right after I click on “Click to Edit”. Today I clikc on it and the window opens and draws all the info but I can’t seem to do much before the plugin becomes unresponsive. When that happens, Cmd-Tab allows me to change to another program and then change back to AE, then I can do a few more things before it happens again. After all of this… I can’t close the window to get back into AE.

It’s located in the Adobe After Effects 7.0 folder in my Applications folder. That is the location that your instructions told me to place it.
As for Motion… it doesn’t work at all. When you drop the 3rd Pary plugin on something (anything), Motion closes and gives me the error reporting dialog box from Apple.

Hi Wayne.
Your AE problem may stem from a limitation that PA current has with AE 7.
Do you have any undocked panels in AE? If so, we’ve found that the PA Set-Up
window becomes non-responsive until you Cmd+Tab away and then back to AE.We recommend that you dock all panels. Sorry about this limitation.
Let me know if this is your issue.
I’m not sure what the Motion issue is yet. I’ll do a test on the Intel Macs.

No. All panels are in their default area.
