  • Rendering, text disappears

    Goodday,

I have a introduction clip in AE CS4, when i render this clip though, the text disappears and re-appears again for some reason. In the preview the clip looks “perfect” nothing disappears.

I have uploaded a part to youtube to give you a better look on the issue.

As you can see the text “1nsane Productions” disappears and re-appears after a few frames.

I tried rendering in different codecs, this didnt work. I tried the “OpenGL” rendering, strangely this did work but he quality is just terrible!

I hope someone can help me, I dont like to see my work go to waist.

It’s a bg with 4 text items on there, camera flies from 1 text to the next.

    Update:

I have managed to render it properly now @ 1/3rd of the original resolution. (I “ram previewed” the clip, then I saved the ram preview).

Looks like its size related. Because when I set the ram preview to “Full”( 1280*720), the text dissappears aswell!

    My system:

    Q6600 @ 3.2 Ghz
    4 Gb DDR2 1066 (3.5gb)
    Win Xp 32bit

Dave’s suggestion should work. If you have motion blur on and the text is on the same plane as the layer below it, the layering gets weird. Problem that AE has had since they went 2.5D.

If moving it in Z space doesn’t work, place an adjustment layer directly below the text layer in the timeline.

    Thanks to both of you.

Moving the text in Z space (10 pixels) solved the issue!!

I’ve just experienced similar issues with AE CS5. Apparently there are bugs with AE CS5?. Anyway I followed the advice from this forum and it worked. Thanks for your help
