  System settings for Pro Animator Plug-in?

  The company I work for just purchased me Pro Animator for me. The standalone application works great but when I create a new solid in AE 7 and then apply it as a filter it is very very slow to work with. Are there certin settings I need to have for AE to work well with it? Does the amount of RAM play an issue?
  I have Quad G5 and 2 GB of RAM.
  My graphics card is an NVIDIA GeForce 6600 256MB SDRAM.

  Hi Ken.

  Which portion of the plug-in is slow? Interaction within the Set-Up window? Dragging the time marker in the Comp window?
  What are you doing that shows the slowness?

  Your system looks like it should run PA very well.

  Loading all the elements to Pro Animator seem very slow.If I launch Pro Animator as a stand alone application I can scroll pull downs, switch pallettes, move around the entire interface.
  It seems when run as a plug-in though, I click on say a pull down and I get a stuttering effect, like all the window are still trying to load into memory. I usually switch applications a couple of times and then I get some change in the interface. This makes it very frustrating to use.

  Thanks for the info, Ken.

  I’ll take a look to see if I can find a difference in how things work.

  The exact same code is used to run both the application and the plug-in,
  but there may be something else going on under the hood in the event handler.

  I’ll let you know if I find anything useful.
